Title: Rocker cover and intake painted
Post by: Balkanac on March 05, 2011, 06:15:04 AM
I was a bit bored so i decided to paint the rocker cover and the intake. The rocker cover gasket needed replacing anyway.

Looks good man,  If I was you, I'd sand off the lines so they show bare metal.

i need to give it a few days untill the paint cures properly. I used a "wrinkle effect" paint so if you dont let the engine "bake" the paint, its like rubber and it fills up the sand paper so you can't really do much

Looking good!  Yeah, the lines will really give it that sporty accent.

I do have a question though.  What is that Fluid reservoir directly in front of the engine battery tray?

Damn, looks good, you cant beat Powder coating though, but this looks nice, cant wait to see if it holds up though,...

I wanted to do red/cover  black/intake but i didn't know if i'd like it or if it looked good, thanks for posting pics, I plan on sanding the lines also, i think it looks even better..

Update when you do.

Yea, lines will set it off nicely. I'm not sure if I wanna sand the lines on the rocker cover tho, since it's red. I'll try it and if I don't like it I can always repaint it.
I'll def sand the intake lines tho
