Title: What are these????
Post by: longms on February 19, 2011, 11:47:50 AM
Curious as to what the parts below are? Are they from an M42 or are they foreign to the motor? They look like some sort of oil sprayer for cooling purposes...crankshaft perhaps?

Those are the oil squirters that spray oil on the underside of the pistons.

yea they are the oil squirters. How did they come out. I don't remember anything other than pushing them in place in the block. Is the lose of oil pressure going to rob the top end?

Ok...these came out of my oil pan. I changed my oil and BAM these things fell out. Is the car driveable with these out?
