Dude, letīs talk!
The manual tranny of my 318i itīs still on it. It has 180k miles but it was running smooth and as nice as you could expect. I say "was" because it doesnīt currently have a motor attached to it. I donīt think thereīs a difference between 318i and 318is in the transmission itself. I believe itīs the Getrag 240, isnīt it?
If you help me get it off the car itīs yours for, letīs say, $100?
Iīm in Raleigh, by the way

We should talk. Do you rmember if it rattled in neutral with the clutch engaged? That's what I would like to get rid of with the transmission I have.

I remember clearly it did not do any of that. It never gave any trouble. I think the differential may be different in the IS, but the transmission itself it's the same, right?
Let me know what you want to do!
