My name is Ton Vink from the Netherlands.
For my work I restore a lot of old E30's most for racing use. Also we sell a lot of bodywork for the E30, You can find some info on our website http://www.vinkmotorsport.nl or .com.
I recently bought an M3 E30 shell again because i want something to build again for myself after a while!
At the moment we are preparing the shell to fit the cage in. The shell is in perfect shape, no rust, no dammage.
I will have a full welded cage in the car. First I was planning to put a E36 3.0 in the car, but then I saw this site with some nice M42 turbo conversions. So now I have decided to build a nice racer with a 4-cilinder turbo engine:)
I allready have a lot of competition parts lying around, collected in the last years. Most of the parts are original BMW Motorsport. I am looking to get around 300hp in the engine. I have worked a lot with S14 engines, but the M42 is new for me. The whole project will not be ready in a few weeks, as i am often out of the country for my work. Also I allways have the problem that everything has to be in perfect shape in and on the car!
I will show some pictures of the car a.s.a.p.
If anyone has some tips & tricks for me, that will be very helpfull.
For example where are the adresses to find good stuff for this project, wich gearbox to mount etc etc.
All help will be apriciated.
Many thanks and happy holidays
Ton Vink
