Awesome. Isn't that kit the best? Now everything works like it should. My arm just broke on the cylinder. I just did this the past Sunday. I still need to do passenger side. I just has an issue with my key as it had been dulled out at the tip.

I have a problem with my drivers side doorlock. When i insert the key and turn it clockwise, it turns but doesn´t lock the door. It seems to catch at a certain point but then continues to turn.
When i turn it counterclockwise it opens the lock. Could this fix deal with the problem?

Yes, the little arm on the back is probably missing and not making contact against switch. Take door panel off and use a flashlight to take a peek.

I will give that a try, great right up! My other problem is that my key is so rounded off that I am worried that it won't work any more unless I get new cut keys with this, suggestions??

Mine was rounded off and had issues with the new lock. Luckily I had a spare in better shape. I make a copy of this and use the spare as my regular key as I know my spare works just fine. Took the opportunity to get the lighted key from BMW. Nice subtle upgrade.
