Title: I'm confused - Brembo 4 pots onto E36 318is
Post by: Mr Doricar on November 24, 2010, 12:28:36 PM
Hi all,

Can someone tell me if this setup will work.

Standard M-tech 318is suspension

Swap E36 328 uprights
Brembo calipers from 840
E46 330 sport discs
New hoses

Is there anything I'm missing? Do I only need uprights, calipers and discs? Everything else stock E36 318is is ok? I can re-use my stock hubs with the 328 uprights?

Thanks in advance

J

why not just do the m swap and be done with it is easier. less hassel and parts swap over no problems. I didn't know the 8 series had brembo calipers.

For sure you will need  adapters for calipers. I am not sure but imho 850 calipers are steel and 730 E38 are aluminium 4 pot. It it could be what you will need wheels with bigger space for calipers or spacers for wheels.
