20 years has to show somewhere. The spoiler is the casualty. I was thinking about just taking it off and painting it black and slapping it back on. What do you think?
Will the cracks be an issue with this?
Sorry, I am a curious person. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading!

Looks like its just the clear coat cracking, in which case it shouldn't be an issue taking it off.
If you can pick the cracks, and they come off without leaving a crack in the plastic itself, its just the clear coat. Looks like thats what somebody did in the middle of it.

That being said it's a common thing for the spoiler to crack

I doubt it's purely cosmetic. I forget what the spoiler is made out of, but it is a bit squishy to the touch (mine is, at least). I'd bet the extreme heat it lived in most of its life in Nevada took its toll as well as contractions in the material due to colder weather, and at least ruined its paint, and likely had more damage.
Romrog, how much?
Haha it'd have to be a steal to get me to buy off this forum again after I had some asshole walk with my $175. Live and learn.. :)

Those cracks are caused by the rubber material that the spoiler is made of cracking, not the paint itself. I've seen a lot of people paint them flat black with very good results.
I also have 2 spoilers availiable. $40 plus shipping. The one that you would want is currently Bronzit, but it isn't cracked at all. I understand that you are wary of buying online, but you can look me up here and on r3vlimited under the same username. I have never had any problems, and I'm sure we could work something out that would be satisfactory to you.

Thanks guys! I'm going to give painting it a go. Just need some good weather...
If I'm not happy with the result, I'll be sure to contact one of you!
