Post by: Appletree IS supercharged on November 04, 2010, 01:56:12 AM
Hi, could anyone with a M42 in bits have a look in the top of the block and see if there is parts 9 and 10 in it for me? ive ordered them but when i came to fit them they are the wrong size, and it looks like the one bmw sent would press in were as my block seams to be tapped around M8/M10 i would say.

heres link

Any help would be much appreicated, ive check a spare block i have but it has no valve in it.

I had my (E30) block machined to accept it part, and customized the rubber seal to make it all work.

It's a check valve that keeps oil in the head after shut down.
