I keep thinking there was a dark green color for the 318is, but maybe all the pics I'm seeing are just faded black ones?
Thanks,
Todd Z.

Possible. The 318 was a budget car, likely not available in a bunch of colors like the 325is and the M3 were. I recall a few different shades of green then, like Laguna and Boston green. The '92 318 had a lot of color choices.

OK, thanks. I was trying to find some factory literature that gave the colors but haven't found it yet. I've seen them in red, silver, white and black. A green would be nice.

Dark green was very popular on the e36s. I don't think there was a difference in color choices between the 325 and 318.
On the e30 I think only the 92 and 93 318i convertibles came in green. The coupe and sedan had ceased production by then.
In photos it can often look very dark or very light depending on the lighting situation.

As far as I know the E30 318i and 318is only came in Black, White, Silver, and Red. I have never seen anything else from the factory. The E36 came in green, I think it was Boston but I could be wrong. Too bad because I'd love to have a E30 318is in green on tan, Hennarot on black or salmon grey on cardinal.

Yeah, a green on tan one would be beautiful but I'm with you on the colors you mentioned - those are the ones I've seen too.
Thanks for your input.

I have a 91 vert with the Laguna Green, never was a big fan of green for cars but this particular green has grown on me and I've been complimented on it a few times since I've got it. It has shades of blue-green to green-black depending on the light. I believe the 'is' trim was limited to a few colors from the factory as mentioned above.
