Who has painted or tinted his rear lights before and how did you guys do it. Where do you get the paint? lots of questions so lots of answers and pics would be nice!! Others could benefit to!

I used a can of matt black paint and did lots of very fine coats

Not bad, do you know if their is any transparent automotive paint available to just tint it in dark red, instead of normal black

I personally think it looks extremely silly and prefer the "stock" look, but if you search on a couple of the other E30 forums, it has been discussed ad nauseam.

Here's mine.. tinted center section of the lights to mimic the rear bump trim

Local shop, automotive paint and clear then buffed and polished.

Older pic. Now rockin' a euro plate filler. All red or OEM is the way to go IMO.
