Title: Megasquirt.
Post by: Reap3r on September 30, 2010, 04:22:58 AM
Hi.

I'm half way through the process of supercharging my m42 and I saw a while back that there was a person who used to make prebuild megasquirt ecu's to fit a M42. I'm interested in if anybody still does this, Being in Australia it makes it a little bit difficult to find any form of aftermarket support in terms of standalone ECU's. At this stage I'm leaning towards megasquirt but unless I can get a prebuilt box I'll probly end up settling for a WAR Chip.

Cheers
Ben.

One of the problems with the WAR chip is that you can't tune on the fly. You actually have to read the data that you recorded while driving and then make your changes while the car isn't running.

Here is a link to a guy that was doing S14 E30M3 Megasquirts. I spoke with him some time ago and he could do an M42 also.

Yeah, I read the same thing and thats what actually made me lean more towards megasquirt, along with being able to wire in a map sensor easily will also have its bonuses. I'll send some of the people mentioned emails when I get home from work tonight :)
