Title: Intake strentgh

Does anyone know how strong the lower intake manifold is? I'm installing my S/C and planned for an extra bracket but having trouble with it, so i'm considering just letting it hang on the lower intake manifold, a bit like a DASC. the unit weighs about 25lbs.

Given the tension required on a supercharger, bolting it to the intake manifold alone is not the answer.  BMW even puts a bracket to help support the manifold so I would not just hang something off it.

thanks for the input! managed to get plan A to work after all!!  I will make a thread of my build soon!
