Title: head gasket thickness
Post by: visionracingdevelopments on September 21, 2010, 02:01:49 PM
Quick one. BMWfans.info lists standard M42 head gasket thickness of 1.74mm. Can any one tell me if this is a compressed or uncompressed value? OR what the compressed thickness of the standard head gasket is?

According to this thread (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1229094) (on bf.c of all places): the COMPRESSED height is 1.36mm-1.40mm.
