Title: DIY Repair Inner & Outer
Post by: FL318is on September 12, 2006, 03:49:34 PM
Looks like after that repair of the rear subframe we have a new project.

Apparently the Output shaft (inner and outer boots):

are leaking moly grease.  So don't pound on anything.  I was hoping to get some input or DIYs on this next project.  Also any costs estimates would be good.  I hope I don't have to replace the whole shaft assembly:( !

Don't make me come over to ya house and use your tools.  Somebody must have experienced this joy!

Having replaced the boots on these before, it is only marginally more expensive to just purchase reman shafts from BMA. The boots themselves run almost as much as just buying a reman.

That is what I thought but really did not want to go in that direction based on my assumption.  Thanks man!
