Title: Both lights on??

I just noticed something about my lights and wonder if the PO screwed something up when he switched over to elipsoids.

When I switch on my high-beams, the low-beams turn off.  I swear I've seen other e30's where all four lights are on.  I know on my e46's and my wife's X5 all four are on together.

Is this an e30 thing or is something else wrong here?  All four lights work, just not all together.

Pretty sure that you can jumper a relay to get all four up. Not sure beyond that, as this is a future mod for me.

Ah.  Is it normally high OR low and not both at the same time?

That was my understanding. I've only read though, not done.
