Title: Midnight M42 Performance Chips
Post by: bmwconnect on July 21, 2010, 06:18:40 PM
Covering DME 's ending in 175,990,282 + more

Midnight M42 performance chip is sure to bring out the driver in you with

Increased timing and fuel at WOT operation
Increased timing at Part throttle for better fuel economy
Rev limit increased to 7200rpm
Speed limiter lifted

the M42 joy's just got a lot better!!

expected gain is 15-20 crank hp or better!!

$199 *includes shipping

If you are interested in purchasing a chip, please feel free to email me with any questions at midnight-tuning@rogers.com

*You can also ship me your ecu if you don't feel at ease about removing the stock chip and replacing it with a midnight chip

*There is no refunds but if the chip is damaged in shipping I will gladly replace it for free upon receiving the damaged goods.

Curious to why I don't offer refunds? I don't want people taking my chip dumping the code and reselling my hard work

Best regards|

Tip: On E36 the 990 software for which you have a tuned file works in 950 hardware so you can include 950 ecu in the list and hopefully get more customers. ;)

I think the only thing comparable is the result we are going for, witch is to make people happy and enjoy there car at the full potential

my style is to grab more power down low and stay ahead of the flame front up in the higher rpms to maximize power until the stock cams are no longer efficient

I did a dyno run last night, wanted to check air/fuel mixture.
The car pulled 120rwhp and 220Nm and the mixture was great, just a touch richer between 6 and 7000 rpm. Its at the lean border in the midrange which was gone with the airfilter out. So i need to see if i can get a proper CAI or do something to get it more air.
BTW, there is a Midnight Tuning chip in the ECU and a full 2.25"  exhaust with the metal high flowing cat running 98 octane fuel

Barrie, do you have any results from cars that switched to E85 from petrol? Just curious.

No Wazzu. The switch over is not as easy as switching the fuel and chip. you must increase injector size too. it's not a popular thing but I offer for track junkies :)

Exactly. I was just curious if you had seen any good results switching to E85 on an atmo motor.

I have a standalone and am planning on upgrading my fuel system and running E85 just to see what I can gain if anything.
