Hi, Can I use sealant on the cam cover to stop it leaking, would this work?
Thanks

Better to redo the gasket. Pull the cover and you can use gasket maker. I just ordered the gasket for 16.50 on a 91 though.

do you have a DIY on doing the cam cover / valve cover gasket + o rings? Is it difficult on the m42, the m52 DIY says it takes 4-5 hours. :| ... I can't imagine it taking so long to do.

It's actually for my 320i because it leaks oil all over the ex. manifold. Schhhhmokey! Yeah I've ordered a gasket set, for about £6. Cheap!
NO_CARRRIER, its easy on the M42, takes about an hour max. Some of the bolts at the back of the head are hard to reach.

GahH! They've sent me an M10 cam cover gasket. Dammit!

Jerks! If you order from pelican, make sure you put it your car/engine details at checkout.

This was my local motor factor our company deal with all the time, I gave them the registration.

I would kick them in the junk. That is a horrible transgression. Lol.
