Title: Megasquirt Or Other Tuning
Post by: AlexHarris on June 13, 2010, 12:30:43 PM
I'm in the process of trying to figure out the weak link on this platform (m42)

It seems to be the tuning area i guess, people are stopping at around 6-8 psi i guess because you are running out the MAF?

Is anyone running a 15+ psi build with the stock maf, or are you all running MS?

anyone running arcII, Maf-t pro, Emanage , aem  any of those with results???

any info would be appreciated.

I'm no expert, but the high compression ratio will prevent the motor from taking too much pressure.  I'd be tempted to tune out the ICV if I was doing an MS or other standalone.

I run 15psi with stock AFM(blow threw) with no problems. If you tune the stock chip correctly you can run as much boost and fuel as your pump and bigger injectors can supply. The only difference is that the MS works on map sensor where as motronic is based on load vs air temp. So ofcourse MS is much more user friendly and takes less time to tune
