Title: Front fender size 2 door vs. 4 door?
Post by: Colo318IS on June 03, 2010, 10:31:28 AM
so the random question of the day....

Does anyone know whether the front fenders on a 91 4 door 318i are the dimensions as a 91 2 door 318is?  Would they be a direct swap?  I've got some body damage on one of mine and looking to replace, found one in the same color but it's off a 318i..

Just curious if anyone has any insights?

Ok I thought so, but I was just sighting it....it just looked like the B pillar/front doors were moved up a bit to allow for the back door but the quarterpanels were the same.

Thank you!

On the same topic. Does any one know if there is a difference in the fenders from a metal bumper car and one with plastic bumpers? Are they inter changeable?

TIA

I currently have a front driver's side fender from a 4-door metal bumper car installed on my 2-door plastic bumper car, so I think the answer is yes, they are interchangeable.
