Title: M42 head gasket coolant passages
Post by: teklord69 on May 18, 2010, 07:00:53 PM
Stupid question..I just pulled the head out (due to leaking profile gasket), and I noticed that some of the head gasket 's coolant passages are blocked. Is it supposed to be like that or its blocked due to years of deposit? I took a pic of it but havent posted it yet.

Thats the way they are- but there is a sinle small hole in the gasket material at each of those passage connection poinbts. Ony no. 1 cylinder (i=I think) has full opening that matches the port shape.

I wondered if anyone had opened those holes more to increase flow...
