My friend bought an E36 with a blown headgasket and a cracked head. I offered to find him a complete motor, but he would prefer to just find a head... so....
Looking to buy a good M42 cylinder head. Doesn't have to be pristine, just one that will run fine. Also, the car is an e36 but def an M42, not 44. I dont know if E30 and E36 heads are the same, but I think they are.

I think they are the same, but I'm not positive since OBDI was implemented in 1992. However, I have one that came off my parts car. $150 + ship. (guessing $50 to ship).

I tried to contact that guy on r3V, maybe I'll try again on bimmerforums.
If not, what is your head out of dvmotorsports? It looks to me like the E30 one has two coolant sensor holes while the E36 combined everything into one coolant sensor, but if the threads are the same then its no problem.
