Title: a/c aux fan diode replacement

hey, guys

High speed aux fan is working fine, when the engine temperature is very high. But the aux fan (low speed) is not working with a/c button on.    The first thing I did was to replace the resistor, however, same problem.  After searching posts, I decided to replace 'diode' in the fuse box.  I know some guys did this job before.  How can I get to the 'diode'?  How can I apart the fuse box?  I just could find one screw which holds fuse box to the frame, and I unscrewed it but  was unable to do anything.  Can anyone explain step by step how to do this replacement?

You need to remove some of the relays to get to the other screws. Then you can get the fuse box seperated and then acess the diode underneath. That's it. Just have a good working diode. I ended up take a meter to the junkyard and found a few working. Also was able to confirm mine was not working. Not sure the part number for a new one, but realoem.com should have that info.

update:  Today, I replaced diode.  I did as monty23psk suggested.  Thanks.  It was very easy to do it.  The diode is located just under the K1 relay.  And now I have working low speed aux fan.
