I have an m42 with a coolant leak rear engine driver side heater hose that connects to the head. I took off the hose and found the outlet tube was corroded and may need to be replaced. Is the outlet tube bolted on, or a piece of the head? Can I fix this problem without removing the head?

I think it's separate, but a press-fit bit of tubing. I'd be tempted to JB Weld a pipe in there if it's really bad.

You could buy a NPT pipe tap for a couple of dollars and screw a fitting or pipe nipple in there.
