Title: Replace an M40 with an M43
Post by: DocKeR on February 22, 2010, 03:52:59 AM
Hi there!

I have the opportunity to change an old and noisy M40 which seats into a touring by an M43 which runs well. I have been told the M43 has an immobilizer that requires having the key to send some kind of signal to the electronics so as to let the engine start.

What kind of issues will I encounter with that immobilizer thing? Is there a way to bypass it?

Thanks!

just get the ECU and EWS module from the donor car and you'll be OK
