Post by: flyinglizard on February 17, 2010, 07:11:44 PM
Is there a source for dropping the outer ball joint connection ? I want to lower my car further and retain some camber gain. TIA. MM

custom control arms or custom struts considering its a pressed in ball joint

I am looking for  longer ball joint that wil press in without custom fab.  Iwant to lower the outer point, and/ or raise the inner about 1/2 in. .

So basically you want to find another ball joint that fits, but with different height dimensions?

Yes. Coleman makes a few long ball stud joints.  Do you have any that have been pressed out??
I use them for stockcars. Mostly GM and chrysler sizes.
When the car gets  so low that the LCA point up, it is camber loss and roll center issues.
The old style cars with the three bolt struts , could just be spaced between the strut and lower ball joint box.

I have none that have been pressed out. I do have some replacements in the trunk though. I don't even know why. I have E30M control arms, i don't think those can be pressed. I think the extras just came with  the car.
