This site was a nice source of info for my car but these spam message are just too annoying and too frequent.
It was nice while it lasted and I've definitely seen some cool stuff.
Good luck to all!

Come on it is no different than any other E-Mail Address, You just have to have common sense and not be loured in by some smooth talking bull shit con artist. GL
You can check out a persons credibility by looking at their POST and Who has replied to them.

I'm out too. This is the only site this happens on and i am registered on over 50 sites. This is laziness and nothing more.

It happens more on smaller sites than larger ones. Larger sites have more people to run them, and it's actually easier to put protections in place to guard against this sort of thing. When the site is done as a hobby/enthusiast and they don't have 24 hours and a team of people to devote to operations it can be a lot more difficult to keep the spam down. Perhaps volunteering to mod the board would improve it more than getting down about it.

there is a bmw site that is able to run without any spam. i've been a member at this 2002 site since the beginning in january 2002 and have never gotten any spam. it is run by ONE person and has ten times the volume of this site.
while i am reluctant criticize the operation of any free site it is apparent to me the spam problems here ARE the result of a lack of skill or work ethic by the moderators.
this site has provided some very helpful info but the threatening spam makes me regret my membership. the worm has destroyed the apple.

The moderators are limited in their abilities - all we can do is react, we cannot take proactive steps in this.
Doing what we can.

Why not just activate new member approval through email verification. All the spammers are new members.

I have just changed my options here to accept emails only from Administrators.
I hope that fixes the spam problem, otherwise I'm out too.
I joined here to enjoy some chat and comparison with other lovers of the blue sonero, but now it's just turned into a really annoying email pest.
Admin...please note: FIX THIS OR YOUR SITE IS DOOMED..!
