Title: Engine Misfire !
Post by: LA_1991 on February 11, 2010, 06:51:47 PM
Hey guys, just new to this forum and eager to learn more about my car!

need your help with some low engine misfire. I got a 91' E30 and it was misfiring BAD! like throughout the whole rpm range. then i changed the plugs with some NGK's. fixed the problem by 99% and then the next day it was misfiring worse. so i changed the leads with ones from TOPGUN. freduced the misfiring even more. and i read on this other forum that the plugs i had on were prone to misfiring, so i changed to NGK iridiums. Now it only misfires below 2000 rpm or when i thrash it.

so if anyone knows or has any idea what it could be hit me back asap!

thanks guys!

What octane of fuel do you use? I Know Ive had to bite the bullet a few times and put a lower octane fuel, which generally yields the results of misfires when I cold start.
