I have a spare set of 5.25" speakers that were in the back of my 318is when I bought it. They fit under the stock covers but I also have the covers that came with them.
Sony Xplod XS-R1343
4 way
peak power: 160w
rated power: 35w
impedence: 4 ohm
They sounded great, I just put some larger speakers in the back and I already had good fronts installed. These should fit in the rear or front of a 318is.
Asking $20 plus a little for shipping? Or there are a few parts I need that I might like to trade towards / for...
- Good blank check panel (w/ srs if it matters)
- Shifter console w/o window lockout button hole (if there's one that'll fit an airbag car)
- If not the above... a nice looking window lockout button
- Defroster button

ive got a shit ton of buttons and switches.
-
Need some speakers? :)
-
what buttons and switches do you need? thats the first thing i strip from junkyard e30's.
-
Mostly I need a rear defroster switch, and I'd like to get a nice looking window lockout switch.
-
i have the defroster switch in the top of my rolling tool cady/lazymans seat and ill dig thru the box of switches from the last junkyard hual and see if i can find a clean lock out switch. i dont know what it is about the lockout switches but they allways look shitty and crusty. its damn hard to find a clean used one in a junkyard.
-
Must be something in the plastic they used. Sunlight must attack it. Its bunk I know that...
-
ive got both. the lockout switch is a little rough but ill try to clean it up for you. maybe one could it the top with some find sand paper and shoot a little gloss black to match the console.
-
I should probably just find a different console that deletes the switch completely. Although I heard there are problems with airbag cars and swapping consoles.
-
unhook the fucker lol
-
Oh I will, I just want to do something about the darn hole in the console! Maybe I can come up with something to put there...
-
if you still want that rear defrost switch its yours. i just looked the part number up those fuckers are $93 and some change. i didnt think they were that expensive.
-
I have an '86 325 console that deletes the power window breaker button (it's in the dash on those models).
IDK if the smaller lockout button is missing from any e30 models. I'd take that 325e console and enlarge the hole, using it for the breaker instead of the lockout.
Problem solved...:D
Now that you mention it, all my breakers look like hell too.
-
Yeah, those defrost switches are crazy expensive! If you want to trade send me a pm with your info.
DD, I've seen a few pics of consoles without any extra holes. I'd like to find one so I can get rid of the extra button and stop hearing "what does that button do?"
-
ill keep my eyes open for a center console for you. you got a pm comming.
my lockout is unhooked. ive been wanting to wire my electric fan into a open/close switch like the stock foglight or or defroster switch to turn my fan on and off.
-
I planned on just leaving the lockout switch connected, but buried inside the console. Its just an eyesore.
-
i painted a spare i had today it looks a hell of a lot better.
-
What was the original purpose of the breaker / lockout switch for the windows?
Also, I've seen a few people use E36 window switches instead of the regular E30 ones... what's involved with that swap?
