Title: 318is blown gearbox will 318 z3 box fit

Z3 1.8/1.9 uses the same gearbox as the E36 318is (Getrag 250) but different shifter arm and shift lever mechanisms. I believe the Z3 uses a short shifter set-up.

its an e30 that i have but i think the engine is the same bar the inlet manifold can i use the z3 gearbox and shortshift set up on the e 30 thanks

I own an E36 but I believe you can put the Getrag 250 into an E30 so I would say yes.

on the bell housing side of the box there is a spline shaft and on the end there is a spiget to line up with a bearing the new one is bigger than my old one can u change the bearing inside the engine very easily

The gear ratios are totally different. You will have to swap your diff.
