anyone have a detailed write up on how to pull the bin file off a chip with an eprom reader
-
I was thinking about setting one up, but my budget got slashed. I'll post if I get anything.
Editing will be the bigger problem, I suspect.
-
i dont really need to edit i just have to find a idiot proof way of pulling the file and sending it to a tuner so theyll write me a chip since my dme isnt currently supported and i need it asap.
-
Finding someone with an EEPROM chip reader would be difficult. I'm thinking a lot of coders should have one. Find an LS1 guy maybe?
-
i dont need help finding the reader i need a faq on how to get the files i need off my chip using the reader.
-
I take it you got the eprom reader I suggested ?
-
not yet i wanted to make sure i would be able to use it before i buy it. id dont want to dick around with my ecu till im 100% on what im doing.
on a side note bears do you know if i can just pop in another 318i ecu which is more common? or is the engine mated to the ecu so as to not allow that.
-
Do you have an e36? You can't easily swap a DME/ECU unless you get a dealer (or coder) to realign it to the car. No such trouble on the e30.
-
yeah im e36 93 engines a 94
