Title: "Y PIPE" intermodel relations... what will fit on what
Post by: 92BMW318is on January 07, 2010, 03:52:46 PM
okay, i need a y pipe for my car with the cat on it.

y pipe is the pipe on the exhaust that connects to the muffler and to the exhaust manifold.

y pipe includes catiylitc converter and the o2 sensor.

my question is, Does anyone know if a y pipe from a 1990 325i  will fit snuggly onto a 1992 318is.

I don't think the y pipe comes seperate.

The dealer wants 250 for the y pipe and cat assembly - item no.1?

If so, thats a bargin. Down here in Australia, a y pipe and cat will set you back about 1600USD
