Title: Fuel Pump Ground?
Post by: Sophia69IS on December 26, 2009, 02:10:38 PM
Does anyone know where the fuel pump ground wire is?

For some reason my fuel pump stopped working and I replaced it, and then realized the wires to the fuel pump were not hot.

I checked the fuse and the relay, but I'm not sure how to tell if a relay is good or not.

Any ideas?????

I would just switch the fuel pump and o2 relays (think they are both orange) and see if that fixes the problem...Also check your electrical plug at the fuel pump.. When I replaced my fuel pump a month or so back I had a problem with the connector (the black rubber booted one)...Reach back and wiggle the connector as you crank the car and see if the pump turns on...
Also I do not believe the pump has power to it until the motor STARTS TO CRANK...The Crank Position Sensor tells the DME to initialize the fuel pump after the engine starts to rotate..

Good luck...
