Title: Windshield washer pump (Not working)
Post by: TBRAN on December 16, 2009, 03:28:17 PM
Just bought a replacement washer pump for my e30 318is and its not working. Could anyone suggest anything as i don't think its the pump. theres also no pump sound when washer is engaged.

Does the pumps electrical supply (i.e the plug connector) have a fuse that serves it?

Thanks- any help appreciated!

Yes it does... start with the fuse box.  If that checks out, it could the the switch in the stalk, or a break in the wire from the fuse box to the pump.

I would say if its not the fuse it the stalk

Get 2 bits of wire and link the pump to the battery and see if it works
