Ooh I like the black suede with the m color stitching...  any sales going on right now? :)   I just picked up an M tech II wheel and an M shifter knob... those might just complete the interior.

How does the faux leather compare to the suede?  While I get tons of compliments on the suede boots, I wouldn't mind having something thicker feeling.  Also, can the faux leather ones come with the tri color stitching?

yes faux comes with tri stitching. its like a vinly pleather. not as shiny as in the pics.

Hello -

Am interested in a "faux leather" boot for my 318is, but not the handbrake cover. The post says "$30 for a set." What is the price for only a boot? Can you do the stitching in a black thread, non-contrasting? Is the $6 off applicable here? Finally, I assume I have to re-use all attach hardware?

Thanks - and where do you get your shift knobs? Interested in the non-M variety in one of your first pictures.

Thanks,

Eric S.

Matt, wanted to give you some feedback - received the boot yesterday, got a squarish Euro Febi shift knob as well - going to install them this weekend!

Looks great, happy to have read this thread.
As for installation, I see from a few links on the web that the plastic frame around the bottom will need to be re-used.

http://www.leatherz.com/Merchant2/art/bootrings01.jpg
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144822

To access the frame, I cut the old, existing boot to gain access, pinch or in some way remove the frame (squeeze the tangs inward?) and then glue the new boot in place on the frame, wait for it to dry, then re-install via a snap-in type motion?

Thanks again, the black vinyl and black stitching looks understated, yet classy. I am going for a mostly OEM+ look.

Eric S.
