Do anybody in this forum have Dbilas multi-throttle system on m42?
I am thinkin to byu one on my e36 m42.

I already have my car "Shrick" copy cams, chip for the cams, Bmc carbon CAI and Eisenmann "race" catback.

Does this itb`s really improve throttle response.

I think it can sound very cool:cool:

there is a member on here with the Dbilas itb's, and there are a few others that are running custom itb's, and yes the greatly improve throttle response and power but if you eventually want to go turbo they are a waste of money

I cant turbo, because my car is low emissions and it is very hard and expensive to make a low emissions car with turbo to street legal in Finland:(

So you think that it is good upgrade to "stock" m42 with shrick cams!?

if you are worried about emissions then itb's may not be a good idea, especially when you consider the fact you will have to use some form of standalone engine management or a piggy-back ems

That Dbilas itb comes with chip.

How did the cams turn out, worth the money?
 ohh
one guy has the dbilas ITBS and he said that the car pulls noticably harder through the top end (to 7100) and doesnt die down past 6000 like the car w/ chip did.

E36 ITBs fit with a little modification and an aftermarket ECU, a little bit cheaper than the DBillas ones ;) The port spacing and profile are near identical and the lower mounting holes line up pwerfectly, the rest requires a little bit of custom work and either some trumpets (velocity stacks) and/or a plenum manufacturing. They sound great, that's for sure but with TimS getting 200bhp on a stock inlet with ported TB you have to wonder how worth it ITBs really are.

I find that my car pulls hard to 7k on stock inlet with chip, regrind cams and exhaust, the last few 00 RPM over 7k might slow a little but that's not a suprise.

Get a wbO2 sensor as well if you start running the itb's.

Most aftermarket ECUs allow for WBO2 and other toys to be fitted to look after your engine better than the relatively simple Motronic system on the E30 M42.
