Hey guys
The time has come to make the swap that i have been waiting for, I have found a car that the owner wants to break apart, and I need a list of everything that I need in order to make the swap. Tuesday I will make a nice roadtrip with my friend for 1000km to go get the engine + everything else that I need. So i need you you to help me put together a list of everything that is needed. I'll start with the elements that I know, and any of you who have knowledge of this matter can feel free to continue my list.
1. Complete engine.
2. Wiring harness complete
3. ECU
4. MAF sensor
I have read something about the key of the car, is it right? I will need the key for the immobiliser? if so, what else is it needed to work? Do i have to also take the starting hub? If it's only the chip I will put my keyblade into that one. From here on it's on you guys, please help so I won;t make this trip useless.
One other thing, I have the getrag 250 on my car with twin mass flywheel cluctch brand new. Can I fit it on the m44?
Thanks,
Dinu

No one has any info on the matter? Come on guys!
I have been reading many opinions but no one can really say "Yes, I have done it and it goes like this".
Now I'm thinking..
IF: I use only the M44 engine, wiring and ECU I will still have the ignition EWS problem, which I don't know how to solve. Can that stuff be cut off or by-passed in some way? What do I have to also break from the M44 to solve the EWS problem?
OR: Is it possible to use the M44 engine with M42intake, M42Wires and M42ECU?
Some help would be greatly apreciated as I am a bit short of time.
Regards,
Dinu

I don't think anybody has done the swap. From what I understand the differences between the M42 and M44 are all internal so all your existing hardware should bolt up. You shouldn't have any trouble.
