Title: CEL light
Post by: Jorgeconrico on November 16, 2009, 09:21:23 AM
Just finished the mess under the intake (again). I depressurized the fuel system to change the pieces of fuel line. Im getting code 1262. Ive been doing some reading and this code can pop up if the car has stalled at over 600 rpm. Im sure this is the reason because i pulled the fuse to depressurize the fuel system and obviously the car stalled. I cant get the CEL off even after disconnecting the battery. Anyone know another way to get this light off? BTW the car runs great.

1262 is idle speed actuator...our infamous ICV, right?  Maybe a dirty connector, vac leak or cracked wire?

Good to hear that the car's running so well...you've been working on this for a while!

Thanks Dave. Yea, but once I complete one project another problem seems to arise from it. I can't win with this car, but I guess I like it too much to stop working on it.

Edit: Guess it was a long weekend because I forgot to plug the ICV back in, which was causing the CEL. Life is good:D:D:D

I'm with you on that.  I'm thinking of picking up another car for spares...
