Title: Down and Out!
Post by: Justonegear on November 15, 2009, 09:50:43 PM
Hey folks, here's the problem.

After clutch repair the 1986 325 5 speed it would not start. No starter noise, nothing. Battery charged, everything grounded. Tested the positive post at starter, 13.3 volts, solenoid lead when switched 13.3 volts, then drops after it is on for a few seconds. If I jump the post on the starter it turns but doesn't engage. I replaced the starter and still the same. After the clutch repair I in error grounded the battery feed to the starter, realized it as I was connecting the positive battery cable and quickly removed the cable. Discovered the error and corrected it at the starter.Could I have cooked a fuse or relay?  Any advise??? thanks for any help.
