I noticed that these are different than typical Alpina wheels which have covers over the lugs. Are these RD wheels by chance? Can anyone ID these wheels?

You're right, they look just like the Alpina wheels, but I don't have a clue what they could be. There are a lot of companies in Germany and England that still produce and make new wheels on a regular basis for E30's that you will never see in the US.

I have these on my car. They are replica Kopi's. They have one less spoke then real Alpina Rims. The only difference is that it does not have the faceplate on it. Nothing special. Here is the website for the wheels if you are interested.

Cool, Thanks guys! I think I am going to go with these on my 318is. I dig the look!

The ones in the picture are 17 x 7.5 btw. I run that on my car with a set of Kuhmo Ecsta SPT for summer use and the car sticks very nicely. For the money they are ecxcellet tires with great wear. No complaints.
