i read sometime back on the rv forum, that volvo 850 spark plug wires work better thab cop kit;  anyone car to comment?

A wire is a wire they get old britle cracked has conections on both ends resistance due to length of wire be for it gets to the plug.  It is proven that COP is better less thing to go wrong.
