Can anyone enlighten me as how to remove the two bolts at the top and under the dash? They have no head to grip just a cone shaped head. I am trying to get the pedal set out but need more access to the bolts. Thanks in advance.

You'll need a chisel & hammer to carefully beat them out. Notch them then smack them tangentially to rotate them out. I was thinking an easy-out might do it too, but that's a lot of drilling.
The bolts are designed to shear when installed for some asinine Bavarian reason that's beyond my understanding. You can steal the car with a paperclip and a bent coat hangar, but they're worried about someone dropping the column for maintenance, WTF?

Take a pneumatic cutoff wheel and slot it, and use a giant screwdriver and a pair of vicegrips to turn it. They are a pain, but if worst comes to worst you can just cut the heads off.
